Achieving Dreams of Undocumented Students Outside DACA.

My name is Nicole Lopez, and I am a college student at Trinity Washington University. Originally from Colombia, I immigrated to the United States in 2019. The purpose of creating this website is to provide a centralized resource center that provides information on scholarship opportunities, internship and volunteer experiences, legal advice, and mental health support for undocumented students outside DACA pursuing higher education, easing the stress of finding the resources.

Mental Health Support

Internship/Volunteer Opportunities

Finding an internship or a volunteer experience as an undocumented individual can be challenging due to legal restrictions and potential employer biases. Many internships require applicants to have work authorization, DACA status or a valid visa, which undocumented individuals may not possess. In this section, you will find internship and volunteer opportunities that do not require work permit.

Scholarship Opportunities

For undocumented students outside of DACA, finding scholarships for college can be incredibly challenging. Many scholarships require applicants to have a social security number or be a U.S. citizen, which excludes undocumented students from eligibility. This limitation often leaves undocumented students with fewer financial resources and opportunities to pursue higher education. In this section, you will find scholarships opportunities that do not require to be US Citizen or DACA.

Legal Advice

Undocumented students often face significant challenges when seeking legal advice, including the high cost associated with legal services. This financial barrier can make it difficult for students to access the guidance and support they need to navigate complex legal issues related to their immigration status. In this section, you will discover valuable resources where you can access legal advice affordably or at no cost.
